This one is my try to take a panoramic photo. I've had to reduce the size because of its weight.

I am still playing with my two new "toys"!

IMG_7545: I decided to give this picture a more grey, "stormy" appearance!

IMG_7549: This one the opposite - brighter and more colour.

IMG_7589: The main change here was to make the water a lighter blue.

IMG_7605: Slight lightening of the darkest areas, tried to bring out the various colours in the sea and more intense green for the trees.

I am still trying to find the best way of using my Luminosity & Saturation Mask plugins.

IMG_7565: Colours increased, I think it is probably overdone!

IMG_7724: Used both plugins to bring out detail and colours in the tree branches, but the found it necessary to use the Channel Mixer because the green of the trees was too intense. Sharpened with Wavelet-decompose.

IMG_7921: Luminosity Masks to slightly darken the wall on the right of the picture and lighten the darkest parts. No colour adjustment. Sharpened with Wavelet-decompose.

Thank you David. You really get your aim on each photo.
Then, you use your Luminosity masks (which one) and also your recent one for color? is that right?
Here a few more photos.

Issabella,

The Luminosity Mask plugin is:
eq_lum_mask.py
(6.09 KiB) Downloaded 15 times
I have written a short tutorial for it:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2789

The Saturation Mask plugin is:
satmask.py
(7.59 KiB) Downloaded 14 times
A tutorial for it:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2791

I will try to expand these tutorials as I get more experience of using the plugins and incorporate any suggestions from other users.

Now the latest photographs - they are beautiful, especially the sunsets.

IMG_7643: I used a mask to be able to give the sea more contrast and then inverted the mask to adjust the sky.
All done with Colours/Curves.

IMG_7653: Similar process. Lightened the trees, more contrast on the sea and emphasised the reflection of the sun on the sea. Adjusted the sky.
IMG_7653_1.JPG
IMG_7653_1.JPG (87.18 KiB) Viewed 664 times
IMG_7900: I used both of my new plugins to try to bring out the islands/middle ground and increase the mistiness of the distant mountains. Slight increase in the foreground contrast and sharpened with Wavelet decompose.
IMG_7900_1.JPG

IMG_8284: I did not use the Luminosity Mask plugin and made only the smallest changes with the Saturation Mask plugin. The changes are probably not significant - this photo in particular is superb and therefore would be difficult to improve.

Thank you so much David for your plug-ins and your pdf files . I'll be able to study the method of acting and practice it. They seem to be really useful and helpful, too.
I like how you treat each photo to get the best effect or what to do to correct a part of them. :thank_you:
The image 7932, it's another try to get a panoramic image

IMG_7864: Used Luminosity & Saturation masks to try to increase the clarity. The blue of the sea is perhaps too intense. Sharpened with Wavelet decompose.
IMG_7864_1.JPG

IMG_7926: I used the Saturation masks to increase the saturation of the window, its surrounding stone and the ironwork, Reduced the saturation of the wall. Sharpened with Wavelet decompose.

IMG_7926_1.JPG (199.63 KiB) Viewed 530 times
IMG_7932: Luminosity masks to lighten the darkest areas and increase mid range contrast to bring out details of the stone buildings. Slight adjustments with Saturation masks. Sharpened with Wavelet decompose.

IMG_8176: I found this one very difficult! To expose the darker parts correctly it has resulted in over-exposure of the top left. I used both plugins and sharpened the image. I will have another try at this one!

IMG_8176: Another try at this photograph. I am not yet happy with the result.
I applied a contrast mask to the original before I used the two plugins. The top, left is still overexposed but I reduced the yellow cast in the hope that it reduces its impact. Better or worse? I am not certain.
